Chilcott and all that

It would appear that the word SORRY does not have a place in Labour rhetoric. Blair does not regret taking this country into a war built on lies. No regrets for the coffins now paraded weekly through Wootton Bassett, no remembrance of the young men, ill equiped and sent out like bomb fodder. No we do not wage war any more by sending young over the top in the trenches, but surely this is a 21st century equivalent.
Nearer to home, the Minister charged with the responsibility of 'Warm front' scheme devised to keep pensioners warm by helping them buy new boilers and central heating system, today waffled his way through an early morning interview about the sorry state of the scheme, whereby people are cold with no heating and hot water and have been for at least six weeks. Six weeks where we have seen some of the coldest conditions for years. He waffled on about heating allowance, yes it is a good thing, but you can not warm your hands on a five pound note! unless you set fire to it. Not once during the whole interview did the Minister utter the word SORRY. He was obviously warm enough as he conducted the interview in his shirt sleeves, perhaps he should invite a few pensioners to move in with him to keep warm, mind you he would probably claim the extra heating bill on his expenses!

more horror

The madness continues with the sentence for the 2 little evil children going under review! Lock them up and throw away the key is what I say. That will get all the do gooders and pc types up in arms. It might not be the usual response but I bet its what every normal thinking adult in the UK would want to verbalise. The fact their mother wanted compensation as well because they were not taken away before beggars belief., perhaps if she had come out of her boozy, fag induced haze for long enough she may actually have realised what was happening to them. All that courtesy of the public purse, and now she expects us to dip further into our pockets to reward her for her non parenting fiasco! NOT ME!

Another day another dollar

So, Barack Obama is cracking down on the Bankers and their bonuses. He obviously has thought long and hard about it. Good for him. With the prospect of the same thing happening here in the UK, will we ever get out of this depression? Having seen the effect on the Dow, what repurcussions will we see worldwide? The Ftse is in freefall again, more worry for us poor classes trying to make ends meet. Mind you, with all that is happening in Haiti, we at least are lucky enough to have food and clean water and a roof over our heads.
Onwards and ever upwards the British bulldog spirit, Britains Got Talent is taking auditions so humiliation is on the cards for some, fame and fortune for the few. Perhaps the winners will be good enough to put their money in UK banks, not off shore accounts to get out of paying their taxes. I am off now to count my money whilst I still have some, come on those euro millions numbers, must be my turn then I can put my money in Gordons safekeeping along with my bars of Cadbury chocolate!

What is happening in UK

I read today that a Romanian man came here with the specific intention of going to prison. It seems his brother encouraged him to come because of the luxurious lifestyle he was enjoying
in a high security prison here.
So no petty crime for this fella, no he raped and attempted to strangle an innocent girl - his reward 3 years in prison at UK taxpayer expense, where he will be fed, kept warm and no doubt find umpteen ways in which to screw the system for loads of money.
What of his victim? she will have to live with the memory of his sordid attack for the rest of her life.
Send him back to Romania to serve his sentence there is what I say, bet thats not a cushy place to be!
